Much like the silhouettes from the past, the human figure takes center stage in the work of photographer Sebiha Öztas. In her projects, she captures the innocence and vulnerability of real characters in a natural way. Her cultural background plays a significant role in the portraits she creates. She prefers photographing people but also engages in still lifes, such as botanical images. In addition to her work as a photographer for publications like NRC Handelsblad, she dedicates herself to personal projects, such as WOMXN, exhibited at the Dutch Photography Museum in Rotterdam.
